These are electrical
specifications. Specifications are written instructions
referring to rules and guidelines to be followed
for performing certain tasks. If you want a task
performed using a particular method or material
you would write it up as a specification or the
person performing the task will use or do what ever
works for him. The specifications above are referring
to code standards only but you can add more on your
own. An example would be, you want a ceiling fan
in your living room and it is noted on the electrical
plan. You would specify that you want the one with
the fancy leaf shaped blades made by a certain manufacturer.
For instance, you would specify that you want "Model
number 00001." This ensures that you don’t
get the $20.00 special from bargain mart.
