For purposes of the site plan, the position of the house in relationship to a north direction must be shown and a symbol indicating north is placed on the plan. So that in looking at the lot, the site plan is lined up in a north direction with a compass and using the north symbol located on the site plan, which will allow you to see how the house will actually sit on the lot. In other words, line up the site plan, not the house, in a north direction.

NOTE: Site plan must be drawn in engineer scale, not architect scale.
