Your address, parcel number, city, subdivision and lot number are all pieces of information used to locate your lot. If you are building in a rural or undeveloped area, it may be quite difficult to find your lot without some additional information. This information can be obtained from the county recorder’s office or the county G.I.S. system.

Yavapai County Government

You are required to stay a certain distance away from the boundaries of your lot. This distance is called a setback, the distance that your house must be from the front, back and sides of your neighbors. You must also stay clear of the easement, the area of land that is made available for the street, alley and utility access.
